You caught me off guard with Merciful Fate. Me and my friends were very knowledgeable about metal in the 80s evrything from Kreator and Celtic Frost to Priest and Maiden yet I didn't discover MF until 1988. Once I did hear them I purchased Don;t Break the Oath and then Melissa I forced everyone in my car or house for the next 2 years to listen almost exclusively to it also being new to me. I love King and the boys!

His guitar tone is 🔥 inspiring. One of the few bands my wife and I both like. I'm a huge prog fan and in a way they can fit that genre. Way underrated.

one thing i don't get is all the hate for the black vail brides, to me there music just sounds like a modern take on classic metal and as some one who grew up on maiden,priest,king d.,motley crew,dokken and a lot of 80s metal and i still listen to a lot of it, to hate them for doing the same thing all those other bands were doing that every one still loves i don't get.

the thing they don't get is metal heads had to go threw and put up with a lot of shit from other people for having long hair wearing band shirts and all of that abuse and demonization of these kids growing and as adults scars people and never forget how they have been and are treated by other none metal heads and christans. so these people have bleed for the things they like unlike most others have and kids that were bullyed and abused grow up to be broken in some way as adults. i lived it and saw it and you don't forget things like that and forgiving is hard.
